Welcome to Every Wind of Doctrine. The purpose of this website is to identify a variety of issues related to the Gospel of Jesus Christ as set forth in the Protestant Bible consisting of 39 Old Testament books and 27 New Testament books and to examine and test them against the text of the Scriptures.
Our goal is to assist those seeking the Truth of the Spirit of God to obtain the clearest understanding possible of the Word of God. Hopefully, personal bias will be kept to a minimum and will yield to sound, historical principles of biblical interpretation. Great care will be given to explaining in a concise but thorough manner various schools of thought and to discuss the strengths and weaknesses of each viewpoint.
We do welcome comments to our posts, provided they are well reasoned explanations of consistent or alternate viewpoints. We want everyone here ultimately to be friends regardless of differences of opinion and to treat each other with respect as colleagues and fellow human beings. We will not tolerate personal attacks and demeaning or angry comments and we reserve the right to remove any comments that we believe are not well reasoned arguments that add to the discussion of the issues.
We hope this site will earn your trust as a safe and sound place for reliable knowledge concerning biblical doctrine and to formulate a clear understanding of what God requires of you. Micah 6:8 sums up what God expects of us. “He has shown you , oh man, what does the Lord require of you, but to do justly, to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God?” New King James Version, Thomas Nelson Publishing.
